ORCHESTRA
TYLER EHRLICH (Orchestra Director, Business Manager, Webmaster) is a junior at
Cornell University in the
College of Arts and Sciences.
bare marks his fifth
production with the MTC,
having previously served
as Orchestra Director for
Spring Awakening, Rent,
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and
Little Women: The Musical.
He is in the clarinet studio of
Lenora Schneller and studies
conducting with Professors
Cynthia Johnston Turner and
James Spinazzola. Tyler is
also the teaching assistant for
the Cornell University Wind
Symphony, where he assists
in conducting both rehearsals
and concerts. He would
like to thank his family and
friends for their constant support,
and his past and present
music teachers for all they
have taught him.
ADELAIDE McDONNEL (Assistant Orchestra Director) is a senior at
Cornell University majoring
in Music. This is her third
production with MTC. Previous
credits include Keyboard
II/Guitar II in Rent, and was
Assistant Orchestra Director
and Guitar II in Spring
Awakening. Adelaide plays
saxophone, is actively involved
in Cornell University’s
Wind Ensemble. She is very
excited to be working with
Melodramatics in her final
year at Cornell.
CHRIS CARPENTER (Guitar I) is a Television and Radio
Major at Ithaca College and
is from suburb near Rochester,
NY called Fairport. He
has been playing guitar for 6
years now and played guitar
for Working at Ithaca College
last year.
SAMUEL B. LUPOWITZ (Bass) is a 2012 graduate of
Ithaca College who can now
be seen around the Ithaca
area playing piano and singing
in his soul-rock group,
Samuel B. Lupowitz & The
Ego Band. Their new record,
Songs to Make You Wealthier
and More Attractive, is available
on iTunes, CDBaby,
and samuelblupowitz.com.
In addition, Sam is busy
preparing his rock opera
about the Lincoln assassination,
The Handsomest Man
in America, for another
production in 2013, and is
also working on a southern
rock adaptation of Hamlet.

ANDY STAWASZ (Drums) is a Cornell sophomore
from Corning, New York
majoring in Industrial
and Labor Relations with
intended minors in Music
and Philosophy. Andy is
currently a member of the
Cornell Gamelan Ensemble,
World Drum and Dance
Ensemble, and his own
Cornell-based band, 3Unit.
He has participated in
orchestra pits in high school
productions of Titanic: The
Musical, Peter Pan, and
Oklahoma!, and played
for Spring Awakening last
semester with the MTC.

QIAO-AN (JOANNE) WANG (Flutre) is a freshman
in the Dyson School
of Applied Economics and
Management within the
College of Agriculture and
Life Sciences. She is super
excited for her first show
with the MTC! Prior to
bare she played in the pit
orchestras for The Phantom
of the Opera, Oklahoma!,
and Scrooge the Musical
in high school. Outside of
Melodramatics, Joanne is very involved in the Just
About Music dorm, as a
member of the E-Board
as well as a Performance
Space Manager. She would
like to thank Andy Stawasz
for introducing her to this
opportunity, as well as her
friends and family for all
their support.
HARRIS KARSCH (Cello) is a
junior in Cornell University’s
Engineering College, double
majoring in Engineering
Physics and Computer Science,
and minoring in Music.
He has played the cello since
3rd grade, and currently
is in the Cornell Chamber
Orchestra and studies with John Haines-Eitzen. This is
his second semester playing
in the pit orchestra for the
Melodramatics, and he guarantees
that you will greatly
enjoy his extensive repertoire
of artistically perfected
tacets.
