ZOË GUZY-SPRAGUE (General Manager) is a junior
English major in Arts and Sciences at Cornell
University, and is thrilled
to be serving the role of a
lifetime as General Manager
of the MTC. In the past, she has
served as General Manager
for Spring Awakening,
Technical Director for Rent,
and Master Carpenter for
Little Women: The Musical.
Additional credits include:
Scene Designer for Dr. Horrible’s
Sing Along Blog, and
Elegies: A Song Cycle; Habit of
Art, POP!, and The History of
Kisses at The Studio Theatre
in Washington, DC; Scene
Designer for Pippin and
Amadeus at Georgetown Day
School. She would like to
thank the always-wonderful
Guzy-Sprague family for
their unending support,
and the entire MTC
staff and cast for being
so dedicated, talented,
supportive, and all around
incredible.
SARAH BYRNE (Associate General Manager, Stage Manager, Property Master)
is a sophomore Biology
major in the College of Arts
and Sciences at Cornell
University. This is her third
production with the MTC,
after being Assistant Stage
Manager for Rent and Stage
Manager for Spring Awakening,
and this semester
she will be giving up both
sleep and sustenance. She
is thrilled to be working on
bare with such a talented
cast and crew. She would
like to thank her wonderful
family and friends for
dealing with her disappearing
for months at a time to
work on shows.
SPENCER WHALE (Director) is a junior majoring
in Theatre Arts at Cornell,
with a concentration in
Directing. There, he has
directed The Tempest and
Macbeth for the Cornell
Shakespeare Troupe, of
which he is President, and,
most recently, his a cappella
adaptation of Dr. Horrible’s
Sing-Along Blog. As a
member of the 2012 Hangar
Theatre Lab Company, he
Assistant Directed their
productions of Next to Normal
and How I Became a Pirate,
as well as the WEDGE
production of Samuel
Beckett’s Happy Days. At
the Schwartz Center, he has
performed in a number of
Main Stage productions,
including Those Learned
Ladies and Our Town, as
well as Assistant Directing
the American Premiere of
Long Ago in May.
GEOFFREY PETERSON (Musical Director) is a classically
trained baritone
from Trumansburg, New
York. He has studied voice
at Ithaca College under
the tutelage of Dr. Brad
Hougham and Deborah
Lifton. He is currently
studying with Steve O’Mara.
An active performer, he is a
featured singer on Vitamin
L’s new album Sing
for Dr. King. Other recent
performances include 1776
(Courier), Handel’s Messiah
(Bass Soloist), and a guest
appearance in the mini web
series Sex, Drugs, and A
Cappella (Steven Wilson).
He has also worked on
numerous shows as a director,
music director, and
vocal coach with Running
To Places Theater Company,
4H Camp Owahta
and Trumansburg central
schools. He is a co-founder
of the drama program at
4H Camp Owatha and is its
current artistic director.
TYLER EHRLICH (Orchestra Director, Business Manager, Webmaster) is a junior at
Cornell University in the
College of Arts and Sciences.
bare marks his fifth
production with the MTC,
having previously served
as Orchestra Director for
Spring Awakening, Rent,
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and
Little Women: The Musical.
He is in the clarinet studio of
Lenora Schneller and studies
conducting with Professors
Cynthia Johnston Turner and
James Spinazzola. Tyler is
also the teaching assistant for
the Cornell University Wind
Symphony, where he assists
in conducting both rehearsals
and concerts. He would
like to thank his family and
friends for their constant support,
and his past and present
music teachers for all they
have taught him.
ADELAIDE McDONNEL (Assistant Orchestra Director) is a senior at
Cornell University majoring
in Music. This is her third
production with MTC. Previous
credits include Keyboard
II/Guitar II in Rent, and was
Assistant Orchestra Director
and Guitar II in Spring
Awakening. Adelaide plays
saxophone, is actively involved
in Cornell University’s
Wind Ensemble. She is very
excited to be working with
Melodramatics in her final
year at Cornell.
PASCALE FLORESTAL (Choreographer) is a Senior
B.A. Drama Major at
Ithaca College with a focus
in Directing and Theater
Education from Miami,
Florida. She recently spent a
year abroad in London and
her spring semester at The
National Theater Institute at
The Eugene O’Neill Theater
Center. Her Directing
credits include Stop Kiss by
Diana Son, Arsenic and Old
Lace by Joseph Kesselring,
and The Good Body by Eve
Ensler. She would like to
thank Spencer for giving
her the opportunity to work
with him and this amazing
cast! Thanks to my friends
and family for always supporting
me!
MAX MURPHY (Assistant Stage Manager) is a freshman
in the College of Arts and
Sciences at Cornell University
and plans on studying art history.
While this is Max’s first
production with the MTC, he
has previously stage managed
9 shows, including Bye, Bye,
Birdie and Urinetown and
directed two one-act plays
at Rye Country Day School
in Rye, NY. He would like to
thank everyone at the MTC
for giving him the opportunity
to work with such a
talented cast and crew.
WEILI SHI (Lighting Designer) is a senior at
Cornell University, majoring
in Information Science
and Performing and Media
Arts with a minor in Game
Design. Previous company
credits include Spring
Awakening, Rent, Little
Women: The Musical, and
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,
and she is honored to once
again reprise her role for
this beautiful production.

where she is in her second
year as a member of the
Advanced Undergraduate

BRIAN MURPHY (Assistant Lighting Designer, Assistant Webmaster) is a freshman in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. He previously designed both the lighting and scenery for Little Shop of Horrors at Risley Theatre and was the assistant Lighting Designer for Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long blog. He is also the resident Master Electrician at Risley Theatre. Outside of Cornell, Brian has worked for ReVision Theatre, a regional theatre company in New Jersey as a Moving Lights Programmer and Assistant Lighting Designer. He also designed 8 shows at his High School in New Jersey. Brian looks forward to many more shows with MTC.
JOSH ROLLIN (Sound Designer) is a sophomore Communication
Studies major
at Ithaca College. This is
his second show with the
MTC after sound designing
Spring Awakening last
semester, and he’s excited
to be working on bare. His
past theatre experience
includes working as Sound
Designer or Crew Head for
shows including Pippin,
Amadeus, and The Producers
at Georgetown Day
School in Washington, DC.
He would like to thank his
family, friends, Sarah
for writing this bio, and Brian for putting on the website.
SUE-JEAN SUNG (Director of Marketing) is a
sophomore at the School
of Hotel Administration
at Cornell University. She
is so happy to be involved
with bare in her third MTC
production and her second
as Director of Marketing.
Prior theatre credits
include Lefou in Beauty and
the Beast, Mayzie La Bird
in Seussical the Musical,
Kratnoff in High School
Musical, and Bag Lady in
Rent. Recently, she has been
working on an original
musical (with cast member
Trevor Stankiewicz) that will
be put on in the near future!

JULIAN MONTIJO (Assistant Business Manager) is excited to be working
on bare. Previously, he
worked backstage and with
the marketing team for the
MTC’s production of Rent
and Spring Awakening. He
attended performing arts
school in Coronado for
musical theatre, and misses
the beach a lot. Julian has
performed in The Wiz,
Thoroughly Modern Millie,
Urinetown, and All Shook
Up among others. He is
currently studying Economics
at Cornell University,
and is planning to minor
in Dramatic Writing.
RAIN ZHOU (Rehearsal Accompanist) is originally
from China and
now resides in San Jose,
California. He is a classically
trained pianist, and he
started his involvement as
an accompanist for choir
and theatre in high school.
Rain enjoys playing all
kinds of music, including
musical theater, classical,
and rock. bare is the first
time he has worked with
Melodramatics, and he really
enjoyed working with the cast
and staff. Enjoy the show!
JEFF COX (Keyboard Programmer) is a senior music
major at Cornell focusing
on musical theatre and jazz.
